Jet Aviation’s MRO performs maintenance on a Boeing Business Jet 777-200 at Basel

Jet Aviation’s MRO facility in Basel, Switzerland recently signed its first ever agreement to perform maintenance on a Boeing Business Jet 777-200 for interior completion on behalf of an undisclosed client in the Middle East. The wide-body aircraft is to be redelivered to the client on December 25, 2016.

Estelle Thorin, Jet Aviation’s director of maintenance for large aircraft in Basel said, “There was just one week between receiving the request and the aircraft’s arrival, but the entire team is fully prepared and very excited about the project”. “This is a significant milestone for the large aircraft maintenance team, and we look forward to demonstrating our high quality maintenance services to this new customer — and all owners and operators of BBJ-777 aircraft.”

Johannes Turzer, senior vice president and general manager of the Basel facility, said, “As a factory approved service center for Boeing Business Jets, customers value our commitment to the highest business aviation standards. We are delighted to welcome this customer back and look forward to supporting more B777 maintenance and refurbishment inputs in 2017.”

Jet Aviation Basel, has created more than 200 cabin interiors and services for Boeing BBJs. The company has completed 25 Boeing interiors since 1999 and this is its second Boeing completions contract this year.
