HAECO Xiamen completes A330-300 cabin reconfiguration for Virgin Atlantic

HAECO Xiamen successfully accomplished cabin reconfiguration work for the third of 10 Virgin Atlantic’s Airbus A330-300 aircraft planned for 2017. The one-year project involves C4 checks in parallel with reconfiguration of the Business Class section of the Virgin Atlantic A330-300 fleet.

HAECO Xiamen has provided a wide range of airframe services including cabin reconfiguration to Virgin Atlantic’s Boeing 747-400 fleet since 2009. To date, HAECO Xiamen has redelivered more than 20 aircraft to the airline customer. In 2016, the business co-operation has extended to the A330-300 fleet.

Phil Wardlaw, vice president engineering & maintenance of Virgin Atlantic, commented, “Over the next year we will refit all 10 of our Airbus A330-300 Upper Class cabins to offer customers a more consistent experience across the fleet. We have worked really well with HAECO Xiamen on other projects including the refurbishment of our Boeing 747-400 fleet, and we are pleased to be working with the team once more on the refurbishment of our A330-300s.”
